1 Panoramica del metodo
The sample is digested with acid under heating. In a 6 mol/L hydrochloric acid medium, hexavalent selenium in the sample is reduced to tetravalent selenium. Potassium borohydride is used as reducing agent to convert tetravalent selenium into hydrogen selenide in hydrochloric acid medium. The generated hydrogen selenide is carried by carrier gas (argon) into the atomizer for atomization. Irradiated by a selenium hollow cathode lamp, ground-state selenium atoms are excited to high-energy states. Fluorescence with characteristic wavelength is emitted when atoms de-excite back to the ground state. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to selenium content, and quantification is achieved by comparison with standard series solutions.
2 Ambito di applicazione
This method is applicable to the determination of selenium in sugar tangerine.
