TU700 double‑beam UV‑Vis spectrophotometer works in accordance with the Lambert‑Beer Law.
Deuterium lamp produces ultraviolet‑band light while tungsten lamp provides visible‑band radiation. Incident light is dispersed by blazed holographic grating and further split by the double‑beam optical system into reference beam and sample beam. After travelling through reference and sample cuvettes respectively, light signals are collected by silicon photodiode detector. By comparing light‑intensity difference between two beams, the instrument computes absorbance and transmittance, accomplishing spectral scanning, photometric tests and quantitative concentration analysis for UV‑Vis absorbing samples. The true double‑beam design delivers superior stability for dynamic spectral‑change monitoring.
