Accurate determination of gold content in gold ore is a key procedure for gold resource exploration, beneficiation and metallurgy process optimization, and economic value evaluation. With the gradual depletion of easy-to-process gold ore resources, the proportion of complex refractory gold ores (such as high-silica, high-carbon, and micro-fine disseminated ores) in analysis has increased significantly, which puts forward higher requirements for the adaptability, accuracy and efficiency of analytical methods.
In accordance with GB/T 29509.1-2025 Chemical analysis methods for gold-loaded carbon—Part 1: Determination of gold and silver contents, the A500 Zeeman atomic absorption spectrophotometer was adopted in this paper. By virtue of its excellent background correction capability and outstanding stability, method validation for the determination of gold content in gold ore was carried out.
