1 Method Summary
After proper pretreatment, the sample is injected into a graphite tube atomizer. Cadmium ions in the sample are vaporized and dissociated into atomic vapor at high temperature inside the graphite tube. Ground-state atoms of the target analyte absorb resonance radiation emitted from a cadmium hollow cathode lamp, and the absorbance is proportional to cadmium concentration within a certain range.
2 Scope of Application
This method is applicable to the determination of cadmium in surface water.
