TU500 is a UV‑Vis spectrophotometer working on the Lambert‑Beer Law. Deuterium lamp supplies ultraviolet‑range light and tungsten lamp provides visible‑range light. The dual‑beam proportional‑monitoring optical system divides incident light into reference beam and sample beam. After light passes through the sample cell, the instrument measures light‑intensity variation. It computes absorbance / transmittance to implement UV‑Vis spectral scanning, photometric measurement and quantitative concentration determination of samples absorbing UV‑visible light.
