Application Case of L820 High Performance Liquid Chromatograph Determination of Lonicerae Flos Content in Shuangjinlian Mixture per Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2025 Edition

Shuangjinlian Mixture is a newly included preparation in the 2025 Edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. In this paper, an HPLC method was established for the determination of Lonicerae Flos content in Shuangjinlian Mixture. In accordance with the chromatographic specifications specified in the 2025 Edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, a C18 chromatographic column was adopted for the analysis of Lonicerae Flos in Shuangjinlian Mixture.

The experimental results indicate that for the reference standard solution quantified by chlorogenic acid, the RSD of retention time in repeatability test is 0.082%, the RSD of peak area is 0.092%, the tailing factor is 0.995, and the theoretical plate number of the chlorogenic acid peak reaches 81802, which fully complies with the requirements of the 2025 Edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. This method can serve as a reference for the quantitative determination of Lonicerae Flos in Shuangjinlian Mixture.
